Notebook-laptop computers come in all shapes and sizes, and while you can still find them on the market for outrageously high prices, you can also easily find models for sale at prices equal to or even sometimes lower than those of desktops of similar quality.
If you are reading this, odds are you have a computer of your own already. Many people do, but a lot of them are still using an old desktop computer as their primary computer. Up until a few years ago, desktop computers were by far the cheaper alternative, and often more reliable. This is not the case any longer. As notebook-laptop computers become more and more streamlined, they are fast catching up to the affordability and convenience of a bulkier desktop PC, and all without the bulk. It used to be that notebook-laptop computers were only for business people on the go. They did not have half the processing power of their larger cousins, and the battery life was not worth the battery in them. The old portable computing devices were really nothing more than mobile keyboards and document editing software, barely able to play solitaire, and you could forget about quality graphics.
